Developing resilient teams and individuals
One of a kind, data-driven, science-based holistic approach to resilience
Resilience is the ability to positively respond to adversity
Resilience describes and measures the degree to which a person can cope with and positively respond to stress and adversity. Each of us has a unique capacity to withstand the problems that life throws at us. It is a combination of genetic and environmental influences that shape our inert ability to manage and positively adapt to sources of stress. Resilience is not a stable, fixed trait or a predisposition that guarantees mental health and wellbeing in the face of adversity. Instead, it is a dynamic, active process of successful adaptation to stressors resulting in changes in our nervous system.
It is not a single factor that drives this adaptation in response to stress. Resilience involves the simultaneous activation of distinct protective factors, which can be biological, psychological and social in nature. With each challenge that we master, we become better equipped for future events – a process referred to as stress inoculation. We can use this natural process of building a resilience inventory to develop and train resilience in a targeted fashion. (MindMatters 2022)
Saga Performance Resilience Programs take a fully holistic, systems approach to resilience
Programs can be tailored for individuals and groups. We combine data, testing, personal coaching and advisory to create the best results - improved resilience, over the course of 3-4 months (typical program length).
The Personal Resilience Indicator (PRI) by MindMatters is the most comprehensive, independently validated resilience assessment available. This assessment is typically done twice during a program to visualize change over time.
To improve and develop we need to know our starting point. Understanding how your body reacts to your lifestyle is important. How do you cope with stress, physical and mental? How is your sleep quality? How you do your lifestyle choices affect your overall performance?
One central data source we use in these programs for individuals and corporate teams, is the Firstbeat Life measurement and testing, also conducted at least twice during the program. Firstbeat Life offers advanced performance analytics for stress, recovery and exercise.
Learn how to manage and lead your overall wellbeing and performance. How to switch between the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems? Make sure you are not stuck in “fight or flight” for too long. Gain control of stress and recover sufficiently.
Another, optional test to include is the DNAResilience test, which provides valuable insights into how you can learn to thrive under adverse conditions, using personalized diet, nutraceutical, exercise and lifestyle recommendations to boost your resilience potential and improve your health outcomes.
